BIOGRAPHY
México - 1978
Miguel Angel Madrigal has dedicated a significant part of his work as a visual artist to problematize the relationships between the visual devices and the power structures that emerge in the context of the modern world. Likewise, he analyzes the hierarchies to which the subject is subjected from the analysis of the discourses, practices and technologies that cut across the symbolic and political relations between Europe and Latin America.
His work has been presented in important museums and galleries, mainly in Latin America, Europe and United States, highlighting: VIII Biennial of Havana, Cuba (2003); Back Yard, Americas Society, NY (2003); Shanghai Biennial, Project N11, China, (2004); Resistance, Fall and Madness, ACC Galerie, Weimar, Germany (2006); Era07 REGION: Frictions and frictions, Blanes Museum, Montevideo, Uruguay; Neither pain nor fear, MEIAC Extremeño and Ibero-American Museum of Art Contemporary, Badajoz, Spain (2011); Of violent nature, FLORA ars + natura, Bogotá, Colombia, (2013); Other stories, La Consevera Contemporary Art Center, Ceutí, Spain, (2015); Bellos Jueves, National Museum of Fine Arts, B.
